Artists’ Alley

Norwescon 37: Elegance and Entropy | April 17-20, 2014

Norwescon Artists' Alley

What is Artists’ Alley?

Artists’ Alley is a unique place for artists. It is a place where an artist can not only show their art but also have a chance to give demonstrations and to talk about the work they love doing. What better way to spread the love you have for your artform then to talk directly to those who are inspired by it?

For the con-goer it is a chance to see how art is made and to talk to artists about what they do. Whether it be an artist they already know or an artist they have just discovered, Norwescon’s members can get a chance to really learn about the artist’s perspective.

Artists’ Alley will be open Thursday through Sunday and will have a rotating schedule, so that hour to hour and day to day you’ll be able to find something new to enjoy. Artists’ Alley is where art IS up close and personal!

We are proud to announce our Artists’ Alley participants for Norwescon 37! This list is current as of Apr. 8, 2014.

## Artists’ Alley: Looking for you!

Artists’ Alley is seeking artists to participate this year at Norwescon. We welcome a wide range of crafts and artists who are willing to share their skills and knowledge with other con-goers. We hope to educate and grow interest in what you do by connecting you with the “non-artist” who enjoys the same sci-fi/fantasy geek things that you do. We also want to give you a chance to promote yourself and maybe sell some of your works along the way. We would like to continue to make Artists’ Alley a place where there is art being actively made and talked about. If your art form doesn’t allow you to be performing a demonstration we would like for you to find a way to show what you do and how you do it. Think of it as a learning experience for the patrons of the con. Artists’ Alley is free for all membership holders and free for the public to view.

In the past few years we have featured digital artists, steam punk gear, illustrators, armor smiths, sculpture, jewelry, and fabrics. We encourage new participants and new art forms (if you know of fellow artists who might be a good fit for Artists’ Alley, please point them to this web page). We will do what we can to support you and to make sure you have fun.

We look forward to hearing from you.
