Charity Donations Requested
The charities office is seeking donations for the upcoming arts/charities auction for Norwescon 36. If you have one or more items that are in good condition that you believe are of interest to people in the science fiction/fantasy community — that is to say you believe people would not only like to own but would be willing to part with actual money to purchase — please contact Phillip Buff via email at charities@norwescon.org with a description of the item(s) (photos appreciated if available).
Are the charities benefiting from the auction those on the Outreach page? Or if there are more, what are they? I like to know where the money is going whenever I donate. Thanks!
The funds from the charity auction are generally used for the scholarships that we fund (Clarion West and Northwest College of Art and Design) as well as for Northwest Harvest. Norwescon is a 501(c)(3) so your donation may be tax deductible, check with your tax adviser to be sure.

The money that Norwescon gives as charitable contributions goes to the three efforts Felice mentioned: Scholarships to Clarion West and The Northwest College of Art and Design, and to Northwest Harvest. Thanks Felice for the speedy response!
