Special Events
The Norwescon Special Events Department is responsible for the Masquerade, Children’s Masquerade, Gaming, Midnight Movies, Fannish Fetish Fashion Show, Lazer Tag, Dances, and various other fun events that do not fall under general panel programming. In the past we have had a Zombie Walk, Match Game, Poker Tournament, flea market, Live-Action Role-Playing, a Paranormal Fair, Muggle Quidditch, and more.

This year we have more exciting events for you, including the return of the Arcade! The Seattle Area Metro Collectors (SMAC) present a full-fledged video game arcade at Norwescon. Enjoy classic favorites and some great newer games, all set to free play, so no quarters will be required! Challenge your friends or just beat your own high score!
We have several Live-Action Role-Playing (LARP) events lined up for you this year, such as Paranoia, Firefly or Star Wars (to be determined), as well as “Shades”, brought to you by Mythic Reality Players Association.
There will be scheduled games galore, including Dungeons & Dragons, Neverwhen, and Settlers of Catan. Also returning is the Norwescon Poker Tournament!
Our midnight movies this year will be Logan’s Run and Ice Pirates, as well as the staple Rocky Horror Picture Show.
