Just like you, we miss our Norwescon family. Unfortunately, we don’t expect it will be wise (or legal) for us to gather together in a hotel by April 2021. Rather than risk missing another year, we’re taking the convention to a new frontier—online!
Join us from the comfort and safety of your home on April 1–4, 2021, for Norwescon 43: The Longest Night. We are already planning how to bring you the things you love about Norwescon: interactive panel discussions, hands-on workshops, scheduled games, meetups, a curated art show, dealers with the latest and greatest in fandom wares, the Norwescon Writers Workshop, Philip K. Dick Awards, and more. We’re even planning virtual events to gather, hang out, meet up with old friends, and make new ones. It will be (almost) everything you could want—but without lines, sore feet, or rushing to public restrooms. We will laugh, learn, cosplay, and celebrate science fiction and fantasy together!
If you haven’t heard, our guests of honor scheduled for 2020 are all returning. We will be excited to welcome Jacqueline Carey (writer), Sana Takeda (artist), Susan Langley (science), and Tor Books (spotlight publisher). We may even add some special guests to the list, so continue to watch this space!
Moving online allows us to reduce our budget, and we are happy to pass those savings along to our members. Norwescon 43 membership fees will be $35 for adults and $20 for youth ages 13-17. If you already have a membership, we will contact you about your refund options.

“What about the Masquerade? It’s the one main reason I attend this convention. What about Socializing? And seeing old friends? Plus my Computer can’t handle all that stuff. I guess I won’t be attending, There is nothing in this Virtual Convention that interest me this way. Sorry. Maybe 2022 will be better.”
