We’re just four weeks out from Norwescon 40! In case you’re new to us, or if you could use a refresher, here are some tips on how to get through registration and get your badge once you arrive at the hotel.
In brief:
- Badges are not sent out ahead of time, you pick them up at the registration desk.
- You will need your printed and signed AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) form, which will be emailed to you about two weeks before the convention.
- If you do not bring your AUP, you can print it out at registration.
- If you have not pre-registered, you can do so at the convention.

If you pre-registered for Norwescon 40, in about two weeks you will be receiving an email from registration@norwescon.org that contains a link to your Acceptable Use Policy form (AUP) with the pre-printed barcode. Please print this form, sign it, and bring it with photo ID to the badge pick up line. The AUP form is an agreement that you will abide by convention rules. Your signature on the AUP is required, so electronic format of your AUP will not be accepted.
If you have not pre-registered for Norwescon 40, you must use the general registration line. You will need a photo ID and cash or credit to pay for your badge. Someone in the lobby will direct you to the appropriate line, registration/printing, or badge pick up. The attached map may help.
The amount of time you spend waiting in line depends on if you have pre-printed your AUP, and how many other members show up at the same time. Please allow at least 30-45 minutes to get through the line before your first event.
