The Single Pattern Contest has begun!
Whether you’ve had a hard day of work or a delightful evening out, nothing beats coming home, shedding your coat and shoes, and hanging up your hat. Our judges are prepared to be dazzled and amazed by your versions of this year’s patterns, Simplicity 8361 and Simplicity 8713.
The object of the competition is to create a one-of-a-kind garment using one of these patterns. Adjustments or changes to the pattern are allowed, as long as the end product reflects the original pattern.
Awards will be given in the following categories:
- Best of show (workmanship)
- Judges’ favorite
- Best novice (for first-time participants in the Single Pattern Contest)
- People’s choice
No pre-registration is required. Entries may be submitted at the judging session. Please provide a short description of your entry, its inspiration, and any special techniques or materials used.
The people’s choice award will be decided and winners announced at the Show & Share session. Awards will be presented during the masquerade half-time.
The patterns can be purchased from Simplicity or at your local fabric store.
