Sci-Fi Fantasy Variety Show
Sparkle and Doom Productions presents an evening of science fiction and fantasy-themed acts for your masquerade half time entertainment, emceed by the one and only David Demers. This show is for all ages! We look forward to seeing your lovely faces!
David Demers
David is a life-long fantasy fan and gamer with a love of live performance. His high energy personality and deep love of all things ‘geek’ bring laughter and involvement to any show he emcees.
Fox Squire
Fox Squire’s official debut was at Crimson Kitty’s Switch. He has appeared at Bier Baron (DC), Roxy & Dukes (New Jersey), Blacklist Burlesque (Virginia), and the Austin International Drag Festival. In 2015, Fox went on a three-state tour with Gummie Bears & Scotch: An Archer Tribute. He was the first masculine slut of the month for Slutist.com, the first Mr. Nerd New York, Mr. Starlite Royalty 2020, and is the reigning Cosmos Entertainer 2022. With his signature foxy ring and dapper swagger, he will entertain the world one show at a time.
Mariana
Mariana is a professional belly dancer from Seattle, Washington. When not dancing at typical belly dance shows in restaurants or weddings, Mariana spends time watching SciFi and fantasy. She enjoys belly dance because it provides her the creative freedom to explore many characters, such as Data’s cat, Spot. For this con, however, she’ll be showcasing three sides to Deanna Troi with props, dance technique, and a little bit of humor.
Mercury Divine
Mercury Divine is Seattle’s Dandiest Dandy, and the King of 1000 Faces. Equal parts nonsense, narrative, and nudity, this king brings you full technicolor absurdity—onstage, on screen, and on the street! For maximum enjoyment find them on Instagram, at @mercurydivine.
Michelle
Michelle is an artist, designer and performer. Enjoyed for her enigmatic mix of approachability, classic glamour and geeky humor, you’ll find her getting down and dirty with the details of costume making, dissecting a dance move segment by segment and listing off random history facts. Which isn’t surprising for a former member of marching band/colorguard, U.S. Navy Vet, Fiber Arts Major turned Feldenkrais® practitioner. Michelle BellyDance and @michellebellydance on Instagram.
Nova Haze
Nova Haze is a fusion dancer and model active in the greater Seattle area and abroad for the past nine years. She’s always down to roll the dice! Her favorite tattoo is the D20 on her chest. She is also a giant fan of sci-fi who loves Star Trek, Stargate, and The Fifth Element. She is excited to share her bard dance. The Elf bard dances to encourage her party!
Samandra
Samandra is a dark fusion dancer from the Seattle-Tacoma area. She has worked on solo and group projects throughout her dance career. Also a cosplayer, she is excited to combine two of her loves in this piece. Her next planned performance is at the Nightmare on Yelm Street gala in October 2022.
Savannah Demers
Savannah Demers is a veteran in the Northwest performing arts community. Her dance style has been described as unapologetic, modern, and powerful. Find her on Facebook @Savannahdances to keep up with her performance schedule.
Tiphany Starr
Tiphany Starr is Seattle’s Mistress of Sparkle and Doom. Tiphany has over two decades of theatrical experience and is known for creating character pieces for her dance productions. She performs as a solo artist in Seattle and Honolulu (well, pre-COVID) and is the producer of Sparkle and Doom Productions. It is important to her to produce shows that have LGBTQ and body-positive representation. This year she is bringing a multi-genre sci-fi cabaret for your viewing pleasure.
