Friday: In-Person and Streaming
Starlight (4–5 p.m.)
With a mix of filk, rock, country, and blues, blended with dreams and a healthy dose of humor and harmony, Starlight Filk Band is sure to have something to please everyone.
Blue Flamez Band (5–6 p.m.)
Scott “Blue Flamez” Kalama is an award-winning hip hop artist from Warm Springs, Oregon! He started doing music as a mentor for Native youth in 2014, for the program Beats Lyrics Leaders with Chaz Mortimer and Kevin Winkle, spending two years with the program learning the music industry. Scott and his band soon traveled to Orbit Audio in Seattle, Washington, for a music workshop, where they created the hit song “Rez Life” (produced by Yamio 263) with the help of Tony Ozier (Doo Doo Funk All-Stars) and engineer Rick Clifford, producer of Tupac Shakur’s All Eyez on Me. After completing the song they made a music video in Warm Springs Reservation and surrounding Native communities in Oregon. They submitted the Blue Flamez “Rez Life” EP to the 2016 Native American Music Awards and brought home their first Nammy for best music video and a nomination for best hip hop album (Beam Me Up). In 2018 Scott released his sophomore album Rez Star and a post-apocalyptic music video for the protest song “To the Sky.” Scott is currently working on more music and prevention education workshops!
Alexander James Adams (6–7 p.m.)
In March 2007, unleashed from the land of Fae, came a minstrel named Alexander James Adams. The gender-opposite twin of Heather Alexander, he has inherited and continued her music and magic for all old friends of the Heatherlands while earning new ones of his own. With fiery fiddle, compelling voice, and the same enchanting magic, Alexander inspires his audiences to make their dreams come true and look for the wonders within. From tender love songs to rowdy brawls, gentle Irish airs to rockin’ reels, the Faerie Tale Minstrel brings ancient legends and magical mythology to the mortal world in true bardic style, proving once and for all, the magic never dies!
The Faithful Sidekicks (8:30–9:30 p.m.)
The Faithful Sidekicks are an award-winning comedic geek folk-pop/filk duo who write and perform original catchy songs about fandoms, gaming, and technology. Winners of the 2021 Pegasus Award for best performer, they’ve been delighting audiences at conventions, clubs, and coffeehouses around the U.S., Canada, and even Germany since 2014. Whether it’s an indie-rock song about board games, an upbeat pop song about Han Solo, or a love song written in SQL Code, the Sidekicks have something fun for every kind of fan. They have released four CDs including their latest, Sales of Interest.

Betsy Tinney (3–4 p.m.)
Betsy Tinney is a cello storyteller. Using her cello and an electronic looper, she weaves rich, colorful, and varied tapestries of sound. Her original cello compositions paint pictures and tell tales, from thunderstorms and skeletal mice, to dancing elephants and humpback whales. She and her cello will transport you to places you hadn’t dreamed could exist and won’t want to leave.
The PDX Broadsides (4–5 p.m.)
The PDX Broadsides, a Portland, Oregon pop-folk trio, have been playing music together since 2011, and are known for their harmonies and clever writing about fandoms and feelings. They have been nominated for a prestigious Pegasus Award for excellence in filk three times, have been on several tours in the U.S. and Canada, and love bringing their special brand of musical nerdery to cons big and small.
Laser of the Doubleclicks (5–6 p.m.)
Laser is a non-binary singer-songwriter, best known as the lead singer of the Doubleclicks and creator of the musical Teaching a Robot to Love. The Doubleclicks have created four Billboard-charting nerdy folk albums about dinosaurs, love, queer feelings, and cats. Laser’s show is full of ukulele, guitar, good vibes, sing-alongs, and real moods.
Raichyl Sinversa (10–11 p.m.)
Raichyl Sinversa is a solo singer/songwriter who challenges the status quo. Her music elevates and empathizes. She writes subconsciously and claims only to be “the medium through which songs come to life.” Stylistically versatile, she is pop with an edge but crosses over into many other genres. Her sound has an alluring musical luster; like an angel with a metronome.
