Another successful convention weekend has gone by, and Norwescon 38 is done! Many thanks to all of you who attended, to the many volunteers who showed up to help out, to our concom staff who devote so much of their year to putting all of this together, to the many panelists, artists, vendors, and clubs who participated, and of course, to our excellent Guests of Honor: George R.R. Martin, Julie Dillon, Amy Mainzer, and Random House!
We’ll be keeping an eye on social media and the rest of the web for your Norwescon 38 posts, pictures, and memories: please be sure to tag them with #nwc38 so we can find them! We’ll get our official photos processed and posted as soon as we can, but with literally thousands of shots taken by our photography team over the course of the weekend, we have a lot of work to do to get them all sorted, processed, and ready to post, so we do ask for your patience. In the meantime, we’d love to see you add your photos from this weekend to our official Norwescon 38 group on Flickr!
But now that we’ve wrapped up 38, what about 39? If you haven’t heard already via social media or the official announcement at our Masquerade halftime: We are happy to announce that our Author Guest of Honor will be Tanya Huff, our Artist Guest of Honor will be Janny Wurts, our Science Guest of Honor will be William Hartmann, and our Spotlight Publisher will be DAW, represented by Sheila Gilbert and Betsy Wollheim.
Norwescon 39 will be held March 24–27, 2016; our theme is “Remembering the Future” — and pre-registration is already open! Our current rate is just $50 for a full four-day membership; this price will increase later on this year, so be sure to get your membership soon to get the best deal! We will once again be at the Doubletree by Hilton Seattle Airport, and we will post room reservation info later this year.
See you next year!
