Bio

Heather Hart Gamble has been drawing all her life with most of her art focused on fantasy. She is an avid horse enthusiast and animal lover, which tend to find their way into her art. Heather has spent most of her life in Texas where she was born. She graduated in 1998 from Midwestern State University, Wichita Falls TX, with a B.S. degree in Biology and minor in art. Recently, she just completed her Master’s degree in Biology and works as a Seasonal Park Ranger for Olympic National Park.
Heather recently relocated to Port Townsend with her family, fiancée and mother. She loves exploring the area and all the beautiful things it has to offer.
All of Heather’s work in color is done in Prismacolor colored pencil. She has been a member of Colored Pencil Society and showed in district shows where her work “Battle” won 1st in the Fantasy category. She has also been a member of Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Her influences come mostly from artists such as Steven Hickman, Michael Whelan, and Frank Frazetta.
