Bio
I have been obsessed with the works of Tolkien ever since my first encounter with the Lord of the Rings books. I was on a family camping trip somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, and the natural beauty of the setting and the words on the page brought Tolkien’s world to vivid life in my mind.
I’ve drawn and painted ever since I was very young, but it wasn’t until I was in college that I learned calligraphy and pen-and-ink, and first used them to give life to my imaginings of Tolkien’s world. For me, the very simple, old-fashioned illustrative style of my ink drawings and the medieval style of my colored manuscripts are both very natural expressions of what I see when I read Tolkien’s work: a timeless, richly beautiful, and yet basically simple and wholesome world that draws me back to it again and again.

I participate in Oddmall Seattle and hope to be at GeekGirlCon in October. I primarily sell online through my Etsy shop.
