Why is Movie News & Previews a must-see?

Alan Halfhill and his partner Keith Johnson have been bringing their unique brand of Movie Previews & News to Norwescon for more than 15 years. Why should you attend one of our panels?
The first answer is because they’re fun! We commit countless hours of behind-the-scenes toil to bring you the latest movie news, rumors, and trailers out of Hollywood and beyond. With our schedule variety, we make it easy to get your weekend’s dose of full-frontal media mayhem. We live to ferret out little tidbits of fun-to-know behind-the-scenes news, as well as analysis of the larger picture (no pun intended), and present it in an entertaining manner.
This year you will have two chances, at new times. Our first show is Friday 10 a.m.–noon. Our triumph of a Sunday show is noon-2 p.m. And yes, they are different. Our Friday show is straight-ahead news and previews for two hours. Our Sunday show tends to be free-form and features “why? Why? WHY?”
What trailers do we have? The latest from Mortal Kombat, Jurassic World, Dune, Ghostbusters, and more. We’ll introduce you to cool finds like M.O.D.O.K. and Willy’s Wonderland. And because they’re just so cool, we have Free Guy, Top Gun: Maverick, and Army of the Dead. And that’s just a taste.
Want news? We’ll talk about Disney’s Star Wars hotel(!), the streaming series for Game of Thrones and The Lord of the Rings, and movement in the Star Trek franchise, to name a few.
On Sunday, we will take time to talk about those remakes, reboots, and sequels you knew you didn’t want but are getting anyway. We call it “why? Why? WHY?” and it must be experienced to be believed. We can’t divulge titles here, but you are sure to be impressed and repulsed.
