Norwescon Gaming

Do you like playing games? Well, you’re in luck! Norwescon 43 has a wonderful selection of board games, party games, and role-playing games. You can drop by the games info desk during the convention if you want some advice on games to play. You can also sign up in advance using the games sign up form!

What is Open Games? Where is it?

Come to Open Games if you’re interested in pulling up a virtual chair and playing a game with your friends and/or other available players. Open Games can be found at the “Norwescon Games – Info Desk and Open Games” booth in Airmeet. Stop by and talk to the staff at the Games Help Desk. Games Staff can suggest games you may like, help you find a game and/or other players, and even play games with you. In addition, we have some trial memberships available from our partner Tabletopia if you want to play a game they provide; otherwise you can run a game on whatever platform you choose. Staff at the Games Help Desk can also teach a number of games if you want to learn something new.

I want to play a game. Do I need to sign up?

You do not need to, but it is preferred as scheduled games are on a first come first served sign up basis. Please use this sign-up form. Most games have a maximum player limit; if you sign up after that limit is reached you will be placed on the waitlist and can play if players who signed up earlier don’t show up. There is no sign-up list for the Jackbox Stage; just show up and play.

Scheduled Games Sign Up

Thank you for your interest in the Norwescon 43 Games! Please see below for information about how the sign up process works. You can sign up in advance using the games sign up form!

  1. You must be a member of Norwescon 43 to play games. There is no fee required beyond your membership to play.
  2. Select the games you are interested in by preference:
    0 = Not Interested
    1 = I might be interested.
    2 = If there’s room, please put me on the waiting list after folks with Level 3 interest.
    3 = I absolutely want to play this game, please pick me!
  3. In order to give everyone a fair chance at signing up for games, each participant may not have all requested games confirmed prior to the convention. Unconfirmed selections will be noted and you will be able to attend if space allows. We will contact you to confirm your games schedule.
  4. Visit the Games Info Desk starting Thursday at 10:00 a.m., to confirm your interest in attending the games you have signed up for. If you don’t, your space may be given away.
  5. Schedules may change leading up to the event, and more games may be added. Check back in closer to the convention to see any new changes.

Our virtual Norwescon 43 games area will include plenty of amazing game content, including:

  • Board and card games online from Tabletopia.
  • Party games online from Jackbox Games.
  • Role-playing games online run by Emerald City Game Masters Guild.
    • Emerald City Game Masters Guild was founded in 2019 to lower the barrier of entry into tabletop role-playing games for new players, orphan players, and groups in need of a game master. Our guild is committed to fostering consent-based, engaging environments for players of all backgrounds, especially those who have been marginalized by the TTRPG community.
  • Role-playing games online run by individual game masters.

We will keep updating our offerings as we get confirmation from content providers, so check back.
