Please join us Thursday, April 1 at 4 p.m. for our 2021 Guest of Honor Tea Party!
The Guest of Honor Tea Party will provide a great way to spend time with our honored guests in an intimate setting. In addition to the opportunity to hang out with our GoHs, each attendee will have a special package shipped to them containing hand-selected teas, a commemorative Norwescon mug, and a delicious baked good from a local pastry chef.
Norwescon’s Tea Vendor
Norwescon is pleased to announce Orange Street Storehouse as our official tea vendor.
Orange Street Storehouse LLC is an online artisan and gourmet specialty shop owned and operated by husband and wife team Andre and Michelle Capers, located just minutes from metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia. They are known for its great gourmet coffee and specialty loose leaf teas. Their gourmet coffees are made from 100% Arabica beans imported from plantations located all over the world, all grown using environmentally friendly practices.
Their loose leaf teas are blended with the highest and best quality herbs, often including berries, chocolate, nuts, edible flowers, and more. They are always adding to their collection.
Some of their proudest moments are when they meet customers who express a dislike for flavored coffee, or herbal teas, and after tasting Orange Street’s blends they think differently. Orange Street’s mission is to provide customers with the best gourmet products, and they look forward to serving you!
Norwescon’s Tea Educator
Norwescon is happy to announce that we have arranged for professional tea educator Roberta Fuhr to join us and bring life to our tea party by sharing the history and beauty of tea.
Roberta opened Experience Tea Studio to help people discover tea—because most people have no idea what tea is. Helping people know the botany and science of tea is only a small part of what she does. Roberta loves to help people discover the magical dimensions of tea, to encourage personal tea times, connection to cultures of tea, and learn how tea influenced history, the truth about caffeine in tea… well, you get the picture.
Roberta is a certified tea specialist through Specialty Tea Institute. Her passion is teaching classes and witnessing the unfolding fascination as people learn. Tea can be a force to change lives… it has a powerful ability to open doors of communication. Tea is not just a drink, it’s an experience.
Norwescon’s Cookie Vendor
Norwescon is pleased to announce Bells Pastries as our official cookie vendor.
At the ripe age of five, Jasmin Bell Smith fell in love with cooking experimenting and creating recipes alongside her father, and made the kitchen her permanent playground. She began her culinary career and immersion in health-conscious fine dining at Canyon Ranch, a health and spa resort in Tucson, Arizona. Executive pastry chef roles in Bellingham and Seattle led to the formation of her own business, Bells Pastries. Jasmin has been featured in magazines, newspapers, local televised segments, and nationally on the Food Network, where she was the season three winner of Halloween Baking Championship (2017) and has appeared on Chopped Desserts, and the syndicated talk show Pickler & Ben. Jasmin is on a mission to share her artistic talents and passion for food with the new generation of foodies.
