Lazer Tag is gearing up for another fun convention. I have read and listened to the feedback from last year, and will we be making a few changes.
November ConCom Meeting
Would you like to help plan, organize, and create the Pacific Northwest’s premier science-fiction and fantasy convention? November’s Norwescon 37 planning meeting will be held Saturday, November 16th, 2013.

Employer Matching
One of the more exciting avenues now open to us due to our 501(c)(3) status is access to employer matching programs. Here is more information on this program and how you can sign up to support Norwescon!
A Guide to Norwescon’s Organizational Chart
During the registration process, staff are asked the following questions: 1. May Norwescon publish your contact information in the org chart? 2. May Norwescon publish your name in the program book? But what do these questions MEAN?
Green Room Staff (2+)
Assists with food preparation, serving, and clean-up for our pros, assists with pre-con menu planning and food ordering as needed.
Pro Check-In Staff (1)
Works shifts in the Green Room to assist pros and their guests with check-in.
Lead Photographer Trainee
The Lead Photographer is responsible for overseeing the Norwescon photography department. The Trainee position is intended for someone able and willing to train to take over the Lead Photographer position beginning with Norwescon 38.
Lazer Tag Second
Assist with setup, maintenance, and running the lazer tag events.
Guidebook Editors
Update and maintain various content in our online scheduling aid (Guidebook).
Editors
Edits Publications materials according to the rules in the Norwescon Style Guide.
Daily ‘Zine Editor
Develops the layout of the Daily ‘Zine, solicits content for the Daily ‘Zine prior to the convention and during the convention.
Graphic Designers
Create, organize, edit, and publish design elements for the current and future convention year.
Art Show Bag Check Supervisor
Sets up, maintains, staffs, and breaks down the Art Show bag check area at con.
Office Information Liaison
Must be personable and friendly. Provides a personal touch to information.
Bunny Run Organizer
Fill quart ziplock bags with candy to be used to fill designated Easter baskets that are to be delivered each morning by 8am to specified hotel designations.
General Office Personnel
Must have a pleasant, patient, and understanding disposition along with a good sense of humor. What is overheard by staff within the office, shall remain in the office – not a place for gossip.
NWC37 Hotel Update
Suite requests have been answered, some suite rooms are still available, and our main hotel block is at 70% full!
