LAN Gaming
Artemis
Be the crew, report to the bridge! Artemis is a spaceship bridge simulator where players assume the jobs of Captain, Helm, Science, Communication, Engineering, and Weapons Control. Together you operate your ship and defend the sector from evil aliens. Artemis simulates spaceship bridges by networking several computers together. One screen acts as the “main screen” of a bridge, while others serve as stations for the normal jobs a bridge crew might do. Artemis is a social game where several players work together on each bridge, and one player plays the captain, who doesn’t have a station but tells everyone else what to do. Multiple bridges can participate together in cooperative multi-ship missions.

To do so is a violation of our hotel contract and state liquor law and may result in your expulsion from the convention at the Vice-Chair’s discretion. Your belongings may be left in Maxi’s throughout the convention at your own risk.
The only way to contact Gaming during the convention is through the gaming front desk in Maxi’s—the gaming email alias and web contact forms will not be checked during the convention. Please let the desk staff know if you need anything. Gaming has three ADA accessible tables, so just ask if you need assistance!
If you would like a staff position with gaming we are still recruiting staffers. Email gaming@norwescon.org and we can get you set up.
Gaming Code of Conduct
We follow Wheaton’s Law: “Don’t be a dick.”
All Norwescon policies and procedures apply, including the harassment policy, weapons policy, accessibility policy, and photography guidelines. Copies of these are available on the Norwescon website, in the pocket program, and in Guidebook. Please take particular note of the beginning of our harassment policy: “Norwescon strives to provide a safe and welcoming space for persons of all descriptions. Everyone should be able to have a great time, in their own way, at the convention—but not at the expense of others. As a community, we insist on behavior that respects the autonomy of each individual member.”
The three accessible games tables in Maxi’s Ballroom may be used for walk-up games, however, if you use these tables you may be asked to move to make space for members with accessibility needs. DMs may also be asked to move their game to an accessible table. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please clean up after yourself and practice good hygiene. Our gaming staff is made of volunteers. Please treat them with respect and follow their instructions. Those who do not follow these guidelines may be asked to leave and not return.
