This year Norwescon will be holding our first ever raffle supporting our programs and services! Tickets will be only $5 and sold at the convention starting Thursday, April 18th. Must be 18 years or older to purchase tickets. Look for our floating raffle brigade during some events or stop by the info table.

Norwescon 41 Charity Auction for Northwest Harvest

In addition to the many items donated for the charity auction, this year Norwescon is happy to offer the second half of the art collection donated by the Rolls family in 2017.  The collection consists of what can be described as hard sci-fi art, spacescapes, rocket ships, and stars.

Gordon Van Gelder, administrator for the Philip K. Dick Award, has put several science fiction and fantasy books up for auction on eBay, including several first editions and signed editions, as a benefit for the award’s administrative fees.

2017 Philip K. Dick Award Winner Announced

It was announced on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Norwescon 40, in SeaTac, Washington, that the winner for the distinguished original science fiction paperback published for the first time during 2016 in the U.S.A. is: THE MERCY JOURNALS by Claudia Casper (Arsenal Pulp Press). Special citation was given to: UNPRONOUNCEABLE by Susan diRende (Aqueduct Press).
