Special Events encompasses a number of extravaganzas and incredible events that add spice to your convention going experience. Among the traditional events that you will find at Norwescon are the Masquerade, Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Dances, and Autograph sessions. In the past, Norwescon has hosted events such as the SCA Faire, Fannish Olympics, Lazer Tag, and much more.
This year's Masquerade director is Vicki Glover. The Norwescon Masquerade is the main event on Saturday night of the convention. Vicki runs a 'costumer friendly' event for the enjoyment of all involved. More information will be available soon, so please check back. In the spirit of celebrating costuming, Norwescon sponsors the Single Pattern Contest in which costumers are given a specified pattern from which to create their interpretation of what the final garmet should look like. Each year the talented costumers that attend Norwescon amaze us with their creativity.
