Hi! Patrick M. Nash here. I am the A.D.A. Liaison for Norwescon 27. For those in need, I have some news that might be helpful.

We are happy to have last year's American Sign Language Interpreter, Gabriel Majors, with us again this year. He will sign at the Opening and Closing ceremonies and will be on call to assist those in need. Mr. Majors will also be assisted by Steven Spencer at the Masquerade.

For your hotel room, the DoubleTree has some kits available for use. They include:

Fire/phone strobe
Pillow vibrator for phone and alarm clock
TTY keyboard
Volume control for phone

If you have need of these items, please make your requests when you register at the DoubleTree.

They have also coordinated for the rental of wheelchairs and electric scooters through an outside provider. lf you have mobility issues, you may want to consider renting one of these. Please call ahead to assure you get what you need. Last minute rentals may be possible. Rental price for a standard wheelchair is $15 per day. Scooter rentals are $50-60 per day. There is an additional delivery fee of $25. Rentals can be made through the hotel Concierge. Concierge hours are Monday-Thursday 11am-7pm, and Friday-Sunday 6am-10pm. Ask for Pamela Cathery or John Nelson at (206) 246-8600 Ext. 4334.

If you have questions or other issues we can help with, please contact us at ada at norwescon.org.
