Live ASL Interpretation Coming to Norwescon 43

This year, Norwescon is proud to offer simultaneous American Sign Language interpretation for selected panels during the convention, featuring our guests of honor and the Philip K. Dick Award Ceremony. Interpretation will be available through our ASL Twitch channel. Here is a schedule of events for which we are planning to feature live translation:

Thursday
Opening Ceremonies, 7–8 p.m.

Friday
Reading: Jacqueline Carey, 1–2 p.m.
Interview with Dr. Susan Langley, 5–6 p.m.
Philip K Dick Award Ceremony, 7–8 p.m.

Saturday
Interview with Spotlight Publisher Representative Claire Eddy, 1–2 p.m.
Interview with Jacqueline Carey, 5–6 p.m.

Sunday
What Do the Titanic, the Bible, and Superman Have in Common?, noon–1 p.m.
Kushiel’s Dart: Discussion with Jacqueline Carey and Claire Eddy, 1–2 p.m.
Closing Ceremonies, 4–5 p.m.

In addition, machine-generated closed captioning is available for all 249 convention sessions taking place on our Airmeet stages. (Did we mention we have over 249 sessions of programming?) Registration is still available. The action starts on Thursday and we hope to see you there.
