New for Norwescon 39, we’re holding a prop making contest! This year’s prop: ray guns!
The Norwescon Stuffing Party will be held Sunday, March 20 at the SeaTac DoubleTree Hotel at 1 p.m.

While most of our attention is focused on this year’s Norwescon 39, we are also starting to look forward to next year’s Norwescon 40 — and we’d like your help with one of our ideas, especially if you’ve been attending Norwescon for a long time.

Norwescon had a good year this year. Thanks to the popularity of our GoHs, we drew in a large number of new members, while still keeping costs under control. We ended with a surplus, which goes into our reserves to be used for years when we run at a loss.

Here are our scheduled ConCom meeting dates for the upcoming year as we put together Norwescon 39!
The Norwescon Art Show is proud to announce this year’s winners and would like to thank all of our artists for their outstanding contribution to this year’s show.
As announced just after the convention, our Guests of Honor for Norwescon 39 are Tanya Huff (Author), Janny Wurts (Artist), William K. Hartmann (Science), and DAW (Spotlight Publisher), represented by Sheila Gilbert and Betsy Wollheim.
With only 345 days to go before Norwescon 39 (but who’s counting, right?), hotel reservations at our host hotel, the DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport, are now open!
Norwescon 39 will be held March 24–27, 2016; our Author Guest of Honor will be Tanya Huff, our Artist Guest of Honor will be Janny Wurts, our Science Guest of Honor will be William Hartmann, and our Spotlight Publisher will be DAW, represented by Sheila Gilbert and Betsy Wollheim.
We’d like to thank George R.R. Martin for his very generous donations to our charity auction! You’ll have a chance to bid on these on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Art and Charity Auction in Grand 2.

Sasquan, The 73rd World Science Fiction Convention, will announce the nominees for the 2015 Hugo Awards at Norwescon, starting at noon Pacific Daylight Time on Saturday, April 4th, 2015.
