We are pleased to announce that our Artist Guest of Honor for Norwescon 36 will be painter, illustrator, graphic designer, Web designer, and comic book painter and designer Lee Moyer!
As of noon today (October 1st, 2012), we have opened the request form for reserving party suites at Norwescon 36! Please review the following guidelines, then fill out our request form to request your suite.
Norwescon was mentioned in an account of a project to develop a functional mechanical hand. It turns out that a gadget first created for a costume, and first shown publicly at Norwescon 34, is being adapted to assist a South African man who lost fingers on his right hand in a woodworking accident.

Happy summer! The annual Norwescon Volunteer Appreciation Picnic went off gangbusters last weekend, and preparations for Norwescon 36 are already well underway! We’re currently taking applications for Game Masters, panelists, and panel ideas.
Congratulations to ConCom member Katrina Marier, who was recently interviewed for a Seattle Times article about fandom in the Pacific Northwest!
On Monday, June 25, 2012, we sent an email from publications@norwescon.org regarding a price glitch. This email was sent to individuals who pre-registered for Norwescon 36 (2013) at Norwescon 35. The email is legitimate. Please follow the instructions provided.
As Chair and Vice Chair, Brad and I would like to announce and welcome the Norwescon 36 Executive Team. We have finished our interviews and have hired an excellent team of execs. Please welcome them and make them feel at home in their new positions.
Our annual Volunteer Appreciation Picnic comes this summer (Saturday, August 4th, 2012, Noon until 5pm, at North SeaTac Park)! Did you volunteer for Norwescon 35, either as ConCom or by stopping by Volunteers during the con? Then you’re invited! Are you interested in volunteering for Norwescon 36? Well, you’re invited too!
The rumors are true — registration for Norwescon 36 is now open! Look for more details on Norwescon 36 right here in the coming weeks — the rollover to the full Norwescon 36 site is almost here!
Elections were held for the officers of Norwescon 36 (2012) on Saturday May 12th with Keith Johnson, LouAnna Valentine, and Doug Booze on this year’s election committee. Congratulations to Peggy, Brad, Jamie and Pearl and thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s election.
