Announcing Science GOH Greg Dubos, an update on our COVID policy for young children, youth programming, masquerade and game registration, dance schedule and song requests, the Speculative Film Festival, Guidebook, hotel reservation deadlines, charity fundraising proceeds going to SFWA, volunteer opportunities, and looking for books for the Little Free Library.
The five Philip K. Dick Award judges for distinguished science fiction published in paperback original format in the United States in the 2023 award year are Nicky Drayden, Gordon Eklund, Christopher Rowe, Kali Wallace, and Lisa Yaszek.

Norwescon’s Speculative Film Festival was held at Norwescon 44 over Thursday and Friday nights. The festival had a panel of 10 judges which watched over 100 films to select some of the best science fiction, fantasy, and horror short films from around the world.
It was announced on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Norwescon 44 in SeaTac, Washington, that the winner for the distinguished original science fiction paperback published for the first time during 2020 in the U.S.A. is: DEAD SPACE by Kali Wallace (Berkley Books). Special citation was given to: THE ESCAPEMENT by Lavie Tidhar (Tachyon Publications).

The Norwescon Speculative Film Fest is proud to announce the films which have been accepted for our 2022 festival.
The judges of the 2022 Philip K. Dick Award and the Philadelphia SF Society, along with the Philip K. Dick Trust, are pleased to announce the six nominated works that comprise the final ballot for the award.
The games team is looking for people to run games for Norwescon 44. We have lots of space to work with, and can accommodate games of all kinds—board games, card games, role-playing games, miniatures, and story/narrative games!
Norwescon will host the Norwescon Speculative Film Fest on April 15–16, 2022. The festival showcases short films and micro short films (under three minutes) that intersect with the speculative fiction genre, including science fiction, fantasy, and horror.
This year’s virtual Masquerade only included five entries, but those entries deeply impressed our judges and were all acknowledged for their merits this year.
Tonight we wish to recognize some outstanding features of each cape or cloak and then announce our Best In Show winner.
