We’ve finalized this year’s cycle of ConCom planning meeting dates! This year, all of our meetings will be held virtually using Zoom.
We are pleased to announce that next year’s convention, held April 1–4, 2021, will be Norwescon 43 Episode II!
In the interest of the safety and health of our members, and due to the ongoing social distancing requirements and restrictions on gatherings, our summer events have been canceled.
This year’s events will be in the form of a virtual ceremony to be held June 27th.
This Sunday, May 10th, will be the cutoff date for ordering the limited-edition ‘No rwescon 2020’ shirt.
It was announced on Friday, April 10, 2020 at Norwescon 43, in (virtual) SeaTac, Washington, that the winner for the distinguished original science fiction paperback published for the first time during 2019 in the U.S.A. is SOONER OR LATER EVERYTHING FALLS INTO THE SEA: STORIES by Sarah Pinsker. Norwescon, in conjunction with the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society, invites you to join us online on Friday, April 10th at 7 p.m. PST for the presentation of the 2020 Philip K. Dick Award.
For the health and safety of our community, due to the ongoing concerns about the coronavirus situation, and in accordance with the recent proclamations by Washington State Governor Jay Inslee and the King County Public Health Department, we have decided to cancel this year’s convention. Norwescon 43 will be back in 2021.
The Norwescon Executive team is closely monitoring the developing COVID-19 situation. At this time we have no major changes planned.
