The Norwescon Art Show is proud to announce this year’s art show award winners. We would like to thank all of the artists for their outstanding contribution to this year’s show.
Norwescon 42 will be held April 18–21, 2019; our our Artist Guest of Honor will be Tran Nguyen, our Special Guest of Honor will be Nancy Pearl, our Spotlight Publisher will be Subterranean Press, and our theme will be ‘Don’t Forget Your Towel’.

The winner for the distinguished original science fiction paperback published for the first time during 2017 in the U.S.A. is BANNERLESS by Carrie Vaughn. Special citation was given to AFTER THE FLARE by Deji Bryce Olukotun (The Unnamed Press).
Some of you may have received multiple copies of your Norwescon 41 registration email. You also may have noticed that there’s a large blank area where normally there would be policies and rules. Whoops!
Please join us on Sunday, March 25 for fun and games as we take pieces of paper, paperback books, buttons and coupons and marry them together to form the packets that everybody receives at Registration.
Costumers — masquerade registration is open!
In addition to the many items donated for the charity auction, this year Norwescon is happy to offer the second half of the art collection donated by the Rolls family in 2017. The collection consists of what can be described as hard sci-fi art, spacescapes, rocket ships, and stars.
Our LAN Gaming options this year include a broad library of single-player games in addition to multiplayer games. Check out this list of what we’ll have available, then head up to Maxi’s during the con to get your game on!
The five Philip K. Dick Award judges for distinguished science fiction published in paperback original format in the United States in the 2018 award year are Madeline Ashby, Brian Attebery, Christopher Brown, Rosemary Edghill, and Jason Hough.
