The art show map is available on our art show page, along with a list of all the artists who will be showing. Many of the artists have provided links to their website or gallery page. We encourage you to check out our attending artists, and hope that you will be as excited as we are about this year’s lineup.

We are also pleased to announce a brand new feature of the art show. Our concert performers will be able to sell their musical CDs not only at their shows, but also in the art show. So, if you attended a show and happened to leave your wallet in your room, come to the art show to buy your favorite concert performers’ music.

• Dealers’ Room: The Norwescon 37 Dealers’ Room is now accepting applications! The deadline for Dealers’ Room applications is December 15, 2013, and acceptance/denial letters will be mailed in January 2014. For full details and to apply for a space in our Dealers’ Room, please see this page.

• Lobby Tables: We are now accepting applications for our lobby and club tables! Norwescon offers lobby tables to clubs, groups, conventions, and organizations that promote science, science fiction, fantasy, costuming, and other fannish pursuits. This provides an opportunity to share your enthusiasm with Norwescon members who have similar interests. For full details, and to apply for a lobby table space, please see this page.

• Art Show: Our Art Show is accepting applications! The Norwescon Art Show consistently highlights some of the best in fantasy and science-fiction themed artwork of all types. Featuring work by our Artist Guest of Honor plus many regional artists, we delight in bringing the best possible artwork to you. For full details and to apply for a space in the Art Show, please see this page.

More updates will be coming in the weeks to come, so keep an eye on the website as we roll out more information!

We’re also happy to announce that new this year, we are introducing a youth rate! Youth who will be aged 13-17 on the first day of the convention (April 17, 2014) can preregister for the flat $50 rate at any time until preregistration closes on March 16, 2014 (children 12 and under may attend for free).

As of September 1, our adult preregistration price will increase to $60, which will last through December 31, 2013; from January 1, 2014 through March 16, the price will be $70; after March 16, you’ll need to purchase your membership at the convention for $75. Be sure to get your membership today to get the best bang for your buck! And if you’re concerned that planning eight months ahead can be a little tricky, don’t worry! If something comes up and you find yourself unable to attend, your Norwescon 37 membership can be either rolled over to Norwescon 38, or even transferred to someone else (forms are available at the bottom of of the membership webpage)!

All items not claimed by July 1, 2013, will be auctioned off at the Norwescon Volunteer Picnic with proceeds being donated to the Northwest Science Fiction Society (NWSFS).

I would like to thank all those that interviewed for an executive position. We had some tough decisions to make and much talent to pick from. I think we picked a great team to work with this year and I look forward to starting the march toward Norwescon 37.

The cost for a full-weekend (four day) membership is $50 through August 31st, 2013. The pre-registration rate will increase in September, so register today for the best rate!

Daily memberships will be sold on the specific day of attendance only and rates will be posted in the spring of 2014. If you are planning on attending two convention days a 4-day membership is your most cost-effective option.

We would also like to congratulate Leanne Dunn for receiving this year’s NWC Raising Artist Scholarship to be applied to her education at the Northwest College of Art.

When you registered for Norwescon, if you paid online using PayPal, you should have received two emails.

The first, titled “Your registration for Norwescon 36″, should have confirmed that we had received your registration and that you would receive a notification letter when our staff had processed the payment.

The second email, titled “Norwescon 36 payment processed!”, should have notified you that we had successfully processed your payment. That email also included a long URL in the second paragraph. Clicking on that URL (which begins with the address http://cm.norwescon.org/…) should bring up your printable receipt, complete with bar code.

Some people who registered early (on Sunday at Norwescon 35) may have received a version of the second email with a malformed URL. If the URL in your email does not work, check to see if it begins with the address http://norwescon.orgconvention_master/…. If it does, please replace that string (everything up to and including the first single slash) with http://cm.norwescon.org/. Once that is done, the corrected link should work.

Don’t panic if you can’t find your second receipt email. There will be kiosks available at registration for you to print your barcode receipt. In such cases, it is probably a good idea to bring a print-out of your PayPal receipt to the convention with you, just in case.

If you have any further difficulties, please contact our registration department, and they will get back to you as soon as possible.
