I grew up in Bellevue. I’d like to volunteer at Norwescon. I’m communications director for Northwest Independent Writers Association, but have no book yet to market (I’m submitting queries/synopses to agents/publishers at present). I will attend Norwescon 2012 from Friday night through Sunday closing. I volunteered in the green room at Orycon 2011.There, I was a panelist as well, on “The Criminal Mind,” due to my long-time experience as a pro journalist, during which I interviewed several convicted killers. I’d like to volunteer where needed most. If needed for a panel, I can speak on journalism, teaching writing (I’ve taught Novel Writing at Portland Comm. College for 5 years and I’m a certified Language Arts teacher); writing your first novel in three months, as I just did; travel to Japan; France, Britain among others, plus I do crewel work and have a Bearded Dragon lizard. Please let me know how/where/when I can help on Friday night, all day Saturday and all day Sunday. Thanks.
