Though we did our best to minimize the risk of COVID transmission at Norwescon 44, we recognize that 100% protection was unlikely. If you tested positive for COVID at or within two weeks following Norwescon 44, we ask that you let us know so that we can track potential transmission and notify members who may have been nearby. Norwescon’s Speculative Film Festival was held at Norwescon 44 over Thursday and Friday nights. The festival had a panel of 10 judges which watched over 100 films to select some of the best science fiction, fantasy, and horror short films from around the world.

It was announced on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Norwescon 44 in SeaTac, Washington, that the winner for the distinguished original science fiction paperback published for the first time during 2020 in the U.S.A. is: DEAD SPACE by Kali Wallace (Berkley Books).
