The Endeavour Award for science fiction or fantasy works by writers in the Pacific Northwest during 2021 was awarded April 8 at Norwescon. Erica L. Satifka was announced the winner for her collection of short stories How to Get to Apocalypse and Other Disasters, published by Fairwood Press.
The 2023 Speculative Film Festival Judges’ Choice award goes to Fetch and La Nueava, with an Honorable Mention to All is Well. The Audience Choice award goes to The Post and The Operator.
It was announced on Friday, April 7, 2023 at Norwescon 45 in SeaTac, Washington, that the winner for the distinguished original science fiction paperback published for the first time during 2022 in the U.S.A. is: THE EXTRACTIONIST by Kimberly Unger (Tachyon Publications). Special citation was given to: THE LEGACY OF MOLLY SOUTHBOURNE by Tade Thompson (Tordotcom)

The five Philip K. Dick Award judges for distinguished science fiction published in paperback original format in the United States in the 2023 award year are Nicky Drayden, Gordon Eklund, Christopher Rowe, Kali Wallace, and Lisa Yaszek.

Greg Dubos is a French-American systems engineer with expertise in robotic planetary exploration. He contributed to missions for the European Space Agency and Ball Aerospace before working at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory for the past decade.

Announcing Artist GOH Grace P. Fong, our NWC45 COVID policy, this year’s Philip K. Dick Award nominees and our book club’s selection from that list, youth programming plans, charity item sales, a call for Game Masters, and some of our open volunteer positions.
We are excited to announce that Grace P. Fong will be the Norwescon 45 Artist Guest of Honor.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Eric Wilkerson will be unable to attend Norwescon 45 as the Artist Guest of Honor. We wish Eric well and hope to see him at a future Norwescon!

The judges of the 2023 Philip K. Dick Award and the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society, along with the Philip K. Dick Trust, are pleased to announce the six nominated works that comprise the final ballot for the award.
