It’s almost time for this month’s ConCom meeting for NWC46!
Would you like to help plan, organize, and create the Pacific Northwest’s premier science-fiction and fantasy convention? Norwescon is always looking for volunteers, and our monthly Convention Committee planning meetings are a great way to get involved! Come pull back the curtain, meet the masterminds behind the event, and find out where your particular talents can be put to use!

December 9th is our regularly scheduled ConCom Meeting but also our Annual Staff Photo for the Norwescon Souvenir Program Book and our HOLIDAY SOCIAL!
DATE: Saturday, December 9, 2023
TIME: 10 a.m.–3 p.m. in person, or 1-3 p.m. virtually
PLACE: Cascade 9 and 10 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport or virtually on Zoom (link to be posted to our Staff Info page shortly before the meeting)

Agenda
This month’s theme is winter holiday garb of your choosing!
- 10–11 a.m. Executive team meeting (open to the public)
- 11 a.m. –1 p.m. Department breakouts
- 1–2:30ish p.m. General meeting (Zoom link to be provided)

Immediately after the meeting we will gather on the stairs (or otherwise directed by the photographers) for the staff photo.
And then we will move to the Presidential Suite (room 1360 on the Penthouse floor of the hotel) for the social!
Holiday Social
It’s our annual holiday social, in the Presidential Suite at the hotel! Starting when the meeting is over (around 2:30 pm) and going until all the presents have been opened and exchanged, the last of the food is eaten, and the last stories are told. Please bring snacks to share – we will provide festive beverages.
Gift Exchange
It’s back – the Norwescon gift exchange. To participate, please bring a wrapped, geeky gift (value of $20 or less). We will announce the full rules of the exchange at the party.

Conduct
If you are joining us virtually and need to activate your camera or microphone during the meeting, we ask that you respect all of your fellow staff members and refrain from broadcasting inappropriate imagery, symbols, or language. If you need a neutral virtual background, a Norwescon background image is available on our website.
