Norwescon 45 Registration Now Open for Members, Dealers, Art Show, and Club Tables

Member registration is open now for Norwescon 45. The current registration fee of $85 is good through December 31. There will be no membership cap this year!

Registration is also now open for art show, Dealers’ Room, and Club Tables. The art show goal is to not just feature the most well-known and successful of artists, but to supply a venue for up-and-coming artists to hone their craft and to receive exposure to build a successful career. The Dealers’ Room and club tables similarly support both established and new members of our community.

Updates to Norwescon Safety Procedures

Norwescon is working on new policies and procedures to make our Safety and Code of Conduct processes more transparent to the membership. Details of the whole process are available on our website and will be discussed at ConCom meetings.

Key changes already in draft include posting safety updates to Twitter during the convention, clearer policies around which Code of Conduct violations will cause removal from the convention, and posting public visible updates on reports of Code of Conduct incidents, including brief summaries of reports and the status of the investigation. If you have ideas that could help make our convention a safer place, please send them to safety@norwescon.org or bring them up at the next ConCom meeting.

Teen or Young Adult Needed

The Member Services department is looking for a teen or young adult to run the new Teen Lounge, an open area in Concourse One. We want someone who speaks the language of teens to have a say in developing content and policies, atmosphere and climate. Contact volunteers@norwescon.org if you’re interested!
